Accommodations
Each fully-appointed suite offers a sleeping area with two double beds and cable TV, a separate living area with a queen size sofa bed, cable TV, dining table/chairs and a private balcony with a view of the bay. Other amenities include a microwave, refrigerator, coffeemaker, sink, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, alarm clock, and internet connection (not free). Free internet service is available in the lobby and conference areas. Room upgrades with suites directly over the beach, king size beds, or two bedrooms, may be available. Ask when making your reservations.
Rooms at the Virginia Beach Resort Hotel and Conference Center must be booked directly with the Hotel by contacting the hotel at 800-468-2722 or 757-481-9000 and asking for the IASD Conference group rate. The discounted room block is limited and ends on 30 May, so please book your hotel room early for the best chance at staying at the bayfront conference site. Check-in is 4 PM and check-out 11 AM.

Neither IASD nor the Virginia Beach Resort Hotel will assign roommates, so please arrange these prior to making your reservation. To connect with potential roommates you may go to the IASD Bulletin Board or Find A Roommate Multiple occupancy rooms must be billed to a single individual, so arrange this with roommates ahead of time and tell the hotel of your arrangement.

The bay front location provides an ideal venue for beach activities as well as complimentary bicycles, a fully-equipped health club, pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and a professional massage service. The hotel is also less than a mile from historical First Landing State Park, a wildlife sanctuary where you can experience cypress swamp, salt marsh, maritime forest, freshwater wetlands, dunes, and bay shoreline.
