New: Call for Wellness Support Volunteers
A new opportunity, that of Wellness Support Volunteers, has been added to the 2026 Ashland Oregon Conference Volunteer team. We are seeking Wellness Support Volunteers who are skilled and willing to offer support to attendees who might be having an emotional crisis or just need someone to talk with. Support Volunteers are not there to counsel or provide therapy but rather to give a person a place to calm themselves, talk over what is troubling them. Wellness Support Volunteers may guide them on how to report an ethics or conference-related complaint, or they may triage the more serious emotional crisis situations when needed for the Wellness Support Team leader for intervention. Applicants should therefore have some counseling experience to recognize, adjust to and manage each situation.
Volunteers will attend the conference, which includes video/audio recordings of all recorded sessions, for a deeply discounted $200 fee by working roughly 3 hours per day, Sunday through Wednesday. Scheduling will avoid any sessions you are accepted to present in and will consider preferences you wish to attend to the degree practical for us to do so. This fee covers the conference attendance, all receptions and the dream ball. Volunteers arrange for their own travel, lodging and meals and any ticketed special events (such as the OSF play) they wish to attend.
Volunteers must apply for these positions online at https://iasdconferences.org/2026/call-for-volunteers/. Apply early since acceptance is determined by a combination of application date and available positions. If positions fill up, a waiting list will be maintained and those on that list will be offered a position if an accepted volunteer does not register or cancels.
