Scholarships | Grants

To register for these opportunities, follow the instructions below for approval. Then once approved use the “Special Approved Registration” form to register.

Restricted Student Partial Scholarships:

Are limited and intended primarily for full-time students at accredited colleges or universities where you are accompanying a presenting instructor or where your instructor or advisor requests it as part of your education. These require approval prior to registering. Copy (scan) your full-time student I.D. plus a written (e-mail) request from your instructor/advisor, to the IASD office at office@asdreams.org

BIPOC partial scholarships and Grants:

BIPOC conference grants reduce the annual conference fee to $180. A small number of BIPOC conference full scholarships are also available. To apply for a BIPOC conference grant or scholarship, write diversityresponse@asdreams.org

Research Grant Awardee scholarship:

For recent research Grant Awardees who plan to present the results of your study at the conference, your grant award included one complementary conference fee scholarship, for one presenter, for that purpose. If you are that one presenter you are already approved by virtue of the grant however by email notify office@asdreams.org  plus robertjhoss@aol.com that you plan to take advantage of the complementary fee so we can track it when you register. On the Special Approved Registration form use the “Complementary Fee Arrangement” line to register and note in the comments box that you are registering as a Registration Grant Awardee

Student Awards (formerly known as Ernest Hartman Student Research Awards)

The IASD Student Research Awards are given to students (undergraduate and graduate) in two areas: best original scientific research on dreams and dreaming; best original historical, literary, artistic, or theoretical research on dreams. There will be three awards in the amount of $500 each. We are pleased to announce that two anonymous donors have graciously agreed to provide matching funds for the 2023 competition! The IASD Board of Trustees will provide the balance of funds. Details can be found here!
